Trail Conditions Update

Trail friends!

Looks like this week’s going to bring some of those freeze/thaw situations. We can definitely go out and play on our local winter trails, but have to be very strategic about when. Most of the trails around our area are shared use. Nearly a hundred miles worth between all of the different great places to play. But our friends at Vernon Trails who designed/funded/built and groom the Fat Bike Trail at the Viroqua VFW, remind us that the 5 mile trail that has specifically been used for fat biking and snowshoeing for the last 12 years. Please don’t hike on it. And please don’t do anything on it when it is soft and impressionable. Every footprint, every ski print, every tire print made in soft conditions freezes up and challenges the experience.
Thank you so much for your continued cooperation and appreciation of all of the great outdoors playgrounds we have.
