Thank you to everyone that made it out to Veteran Hills Disc Golf Course this past Saturday for the course’s first ever event, a Discraft Ace Race. We had an amazing turnout, the weather was fantastic, and the course was in great shape. At the end of the day a total of 9 aces were hit and 4 people went home with some great prizes.

A special thanks to the Viroqua VFW for help with the food. And to Alycann for her help in making everything run smoothly.

This was the first of what will be many awesome events at the Vet, so grab a disc and get out and practice up!

 

It came down to a putting contest to determine the winner of the Small Axe (14 & Under) Prize. In the end Keegan Rose took home this bag of discs.

 

Winner of the Bad Axe Prize Package was Dan Kreibich with one Ace & three metal hits.

 

Ryan Kocian was the big winner of the day. He hit TWO aces and went home with a Discraft bag stuffed full of discs along with the coveted Ace Race Champion Disc.

 

Ace Racer, David James, generously sponsored a CTP for the kids, offering up a Veteran Hills fundraiser disc to the winner. It was a close one! Congratulations to Adyn Brudos for winning this one.

 

All in all, it was a beautiful day. We hope to see all these faces (and more!) for our next one.
